We know how important it is for our customers to have their holiday properly organised, and therefore want to ensure the fun begins before you book. Campingselection wants you to enjoy a relaxing and carefree holiday.

We are proud to be members of the travel association ABTA, another way of showing our commitment to quality products and high levels of service which our customers deserve. Our ABTA membership number is L9627 and we agree to abide by the ABTA code of conduct. The primary aims of this code of conduct are; to ensure that the public receives the best possible service from Members and; to maintain and enhance the reputation, standing and good name of ABTA and its Members.

You can rest assured that when booking a holiday with Campingselection you are in safe hands. We have sales offices in 8 European countries and Campingselection is part of one of the largest Dutch tour operators, Via Select Leisure Group, which is an independent family-owned company. 2012 will be our 27th year of operation and we now have 250 top campsites to choose from. All of our bookings are ABTA bonded so there has never been a better time to book a holiday with Campingselection.

Out of these hours we operate a 24/7 emergency contact centre in the UK which can be contacted on 00448448549022. This number will also be included with your holiday confirmation details. Please note that contact out of office hours is only for emergencies.

We recommend for a carefree holiday, all our customers must have a personal travel insurance policy.

Frequently Asked Questions

We have detailed our most frequently asked questions in order to help you make your holiday choice. If you have any other questions please feel free to email them directly to us.

Question: How much booking deposit do I have to pay?

We require a booking deposit of 20% of the value of the reservation. This is paid online at the time of booking.

Question: What is the deposit paid for in resort?

Answer: This is held as a bond until your departure against any small breakages in the accommodation. It will be returned on the day you leave.

Question: Do we have to pay for cleaning?

Answer: If you travel with Selectcamp the cleaning cost is included in the holiday price which is displayed during the booking process. If you travel with Campingselection the cleaning cost varies depending on the campsite. On some campsites is paid directly to the campsite, on others you may have the option to do the final clean before you leave. All of this information is clearly displayed during the booking process.

Question: Is our holiday money protected?

Answer: Yes all monies paid to us for accommodation are covered by our ABTA bond.

Question: Your prices are very competitive against the bigger Holiday Companies. How do you do it?

The Three main reasons we are competitive are:

1. We sell direct to the customer and not through a Travel agent. As we do not sell through Travel Agents we can pass on savings of between 15 - 22% commissions which are built into the larger operator’s prices. We feel that our holidays are specialist and we could not expect a travel agent to have the necessary knowledge of the campsites or accommodation to help in the booking process. It is also cheaper to book directly online as booking by the telephone will incur higher prices.

2. We are a brochure less Holiday Company. It is much cheaper for us to work and update our website regularly, than to print a brochure based on facts that are 12 month's old by the time our customers see them. We also save on printing costs and postage which we feel we reflect in our prices.

3. The majority of our bookings are done over the internet. This enables us to reduce our overheads of people to answer telephones. Bookings can be made by telephone but carry a booking fee of £25.00

Question: Can I request a brochure?

Answer: We have a small preview brochure for Selectcamp which we will send to you if you email or call us with your name and address.

We do print some in resort literature which can be picked up from our receptions at any of our campsites.

Question: Does your accommodation have decking?

Answer: All our Grand Comfort mobile homes have decking (except Union Lido where they are not permitted). All other mobile homes need to be checked in the accommodation description on the campsite page. If they have decking it will say "wooden terrace". Lodgetents and Lodgesuites have a wooden decking. Chalet Tents do not have decking. Please check at the time of booking if you are not sure. We hold detailed information on each campsite and can give you an exact answer.

Question: Is your accommodation Air Conditioned?

Answer: All the Grand Comfort has air conditioning. Cottage Deluxe have Air conditioning where indicated on the campsite pages. Le Grand, Cottage Caravan and Chalet Tent do not have Air Conditioning.

Questions: Do you provide a BBQ?

Answer: Yes all our mobile homes come with BBQ either Gas or Charcoal depending on local fire restrictions.

Question: What’s included in the price?

Answer: Our accommodations are equipped for 6 or 7 persons. All cooking utensils and crockery are provided. Exterior patio furniture including parasol, sun loungers and deckchairs are provided.

Question: Can we hire Bed Linen & Towels?

Answer: This depends on which campsite you choose within our program. Bed linen and towel hire can be added at the time of booking. If you indicate in the booking process that you would like bed linen and towels then we calculate the amount by the number of people in your booking. Prices for Selectcamp accommodation are as follows:

1 Double Bed Linen set £21.50

1 Single Bed Linen set £13.76

1 Towel Set (bath towel hand towel tea towel) £10.32

1 Travel Cot £1.29 per night

1 High Chair £1.29 per night

1 Baby Bath & Changing Mat £1.72 per night

An administration charge of £25.00 is applied if ‘hire items’ are added at a later stage after initial booking.

Please note it is not possible to book or add in linen hire, towels, baby packs or any other extras within 28 days of the start of your holiday dates.

Question: Do you have Representatives on Site?

Answer: Yes we do on all our Selectcamp campsites; however on all others you will be looked after by the Campsite themselves.

Question: Do you have a children’s club?

Answer: No but most campsites have them.
